Sighting Timeframe: late summer 1987
County: Carroll
Location: Fairview, Grayson County,just outside of Galax.
Activities: Camping behind friends house on top of hill. Sitting around campfire talking.
Witnesses: Just one other person, friend
Setting: Early mourning, around 5:00am, just before first light. On top of hill in a large field.
Physical Description: Heard very loud vocalizations coming from the valley just below us. This repeated several times. Then, heard several return calls from a distance. This went on for about 10 min or so, and then nothing else was heard for the rest of the mourning.Also noticed that the cattle in the field across from us were very spooked.
